Med City Anesthesia Seminars offers programs that are designed to meet requirements for Class A CE credit. Once approved by AANA, this will be indicated.

In accordance with the AANA, Med City Anesthesia Seminars submits the AANA Attendance Record to the AANA within 5 business days following the seminar. At the conclusion of each seminar, a Certificate of Attendance will be given to each participant.

Med City Anesthesia Seminars permanently keeps attendance records for all seminars on file, which are easily accessible. If a participant is challenged with verification of attendance or needs reprints of such materials, they are available upon request.

NBCRNA / CPC Overview 2019-04-14T15:27:21-05:00

Beginning August 1, 2016, CRNAs will begin a new recertification process developed by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Med City Anesthesia Seminars is committed to providing CRNAs with what is needed to fulfill these new requirements. The Continued Professional Certification (CPC) Program consists of four components required each four-year cycle:

Class A Requirements
Class A continuing education credits are prior approved, assessed CE. CRNAs are required to have 60 Class A assessed credits during each four-year CPC cycle. Class A credits not applied toward the Class A requirement can be applied toward the Class B requirement.

Class B Requirements
Class B credits do not require prior approval or an assessment. CRNAs are required to have 40 Class B credits during each four-year CPC cycle. Class A credits can be applied toward the Class B requirement and can be used to fulfill the entire Class B requirement.

Core Modules
Completion of four core modules will be required during each four-year CPC cycle. Modules are optional during the first four-year CPC cycle (see recertification cycle timeline below). Core modules are prior approved, assessed CE and provide Class A credit. Each of the four modules (Airway Management Technique, Applied Clinical Pharmacology, Human Physiology and Pathophysiology, and Anesthesia Equipment and Technology) will include a formal assessment to complete (e.g. multiple-choice questions).

In response to the fluctuating COVID-19 climate, and always being mindful of the potential impact on our attendees, Med City Anesthesia Seminars is continuously assessing our ability to host in-person, destination seminars as safely as possible. If faced with changes in circumstances related to COVID-19 and/or travel, we will always strive to safely pivot, rather than cancel, through the replacement of a scheduled speaker and/or utilization of a live webinar. In addition, we are now offering full, live webinar options for those who prefer that format.

In the unfortunate event where we are forced to cancel an in-person meeting due to a COVID-19 situation, all registered attendees will be contacted via email and phone to discuss additional details.

Your safety and satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us, so please consult CDC/State/County/transportation websites frequently for the most current COVID-19 protocols, as Med City Anesthesia Seminars cannot be held responsible for any risks related to potential COVID-19 exposure; non-refundable airfare, car rentals, hotel fees; or any other liabilities you may incur as a result of an illness-related trip cancellation.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this ongoing COVID-19 uncertainty. Please do not hesitate to reach out for more information regarding any of our past/present/future meetings.
